Technology Narrative

I just posted my Technology Narrative (really a draft of it) on my webpage. I'm looking forward to your comments.

  1. I can totally relate to your description of what it was like to type a paper on a typewriter. I remember trying to line up my keys with a line I had already advanced and having to use correction tape or whiteout. I also remember the frustration of realizing large portions were all wrong and having to rip the page out of the typewriter and start all over. At that point in time, I too compose on paper before typing a word. That was until I took journalism classes and we weren't permitted to write anything. We had to compose on the typewriters on the spot -- training for meeting tight deadlines and learning to think on our feet. I like being able to compose even first drafts and free writing on the computer where I can see my thoughts and can copy, paste, and save multiple versions of my thoughts.
